Project
Eazo’s mission is to merge Chinese fine art with Western technology to deliver a full-service luxury computing product to Beijing social elite.
My Role
Creative Director, User Research, Product Designer
Process
Branding – I worked with the executive startup team and graphic design consultants to define company and product design language. Through interviews and various design exercises we defined and then translated the organization’s core values into a visual identity and a product design language.
Ethnographic Field Study – Through interviewing PC and luxury product users in business, home, and retail settings, I developed a framework of user needs that ranged from functional equipment type requirements to cultural/social expectations for a luxury computing experience. These research insights led to a set of design principles that served as the foundation for the service plan, industrial design, and manufacturing methods.

Outcome
In collaboration with another product designer, graphic designers, and Chinese traditional fine art artists, we developed Eazo’s flagship line of computers.
